What services do you offer?
Brave Minds Wellness provides psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing mental health treatment for children, adolescents, and adults.

Do you provide therapy?
Therapeutic support may be incorporated into medication management visits and provided independently. If more intensive psychotherapy is needed, referrals can be provided to trusted therapists.
Do you prescribe medication?
Yes. Medication recommendations are based on a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and individualized treatment plan.
New Patient Questions
What can I expect during my first appointment?
Your initial evaluation includes a review of your symptoms, mental health history, medical history, current medications, and treatment goals. Together, we will develop a personalized treatment plan.
How long is the first appointment?
Initial psychiatric evaluations typically last 60 minutes.
How long are follow-up appointments?
Follow-up appointments generally last 20–30 minutes, depending on your needs.
What forms do I need to complete before my appointment?
New patient paperwork, consent forms, insurance information (if applicable), and medical history forms should be completed before your appointment.
Telehealth Questions
Do you offer telehealth appointments?
Yes. Telehealth appointments are available for eligible patients located in states where services are offered.
What do I need for a telehealth appointment?
A reliable internet connection, a smartphone, tablet, or computer with a camera and microphone, and a private location.
Insurance & Payment Questions
Do you accept insurance?
Please contact our office or check our scheduling portal for the most current list of accepted insurance plans.
Do you offer self-pay appointments?
Yes. Self-pay options are available for patients without insurance or those who prefer not to use insurance benefits.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept major credit cards, debit cards, HSA, and FSA
Medication Questions
Will I be prescribed medication during my first appointment?
Treatment recommendations are made after a thorough assessment and may include medication, therapy, lifestyle changes, or a combination of approaches.
Do you prescribe controlled substances?
Controlled medications may be prescribed when clinically appropriate and in accordance with state and federal regulations.
How do I request a medication refill?
Refill requests are completed at follow-up appointments.
Policies
What is your cancellation policy?
Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours notice may be subject to a cancellation fee.
What if I miss my appointment?
Missed appointments may incur a no-show fee and could affect future scheduling.
How can I contact the office?
You may contact us through our patient portal, phone, secure email, or website contact form.
Crisis & Emergency
What should I do if I am experiencing a mental health emergency?
Brave Minds Wellness is not a crisis service. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, having thoughts of harming yourself or others, call 911, go to your nearest emergency room, or call/text 988 for immediate support.
